Charging Unit

The charger supplied is a "smart charger". That is, it can sense when the batteries are nearing a full charge and cuts back the charge to slowly fill the batteries to the maximum without over heating them. Through out the charge, the current is pulsed on and off for the same reason. When the battery is fully charged it will turn off and maintain it at a full charge until you are ready to use it. The charger is designed to plug into your 240v power outlets at home. It also comes with international power outlet adaptors for those overseas events.

Battery packs

Min Min Light battery packs are only slightly larger than 3 AA batteries wrapped together. They are supplied with 1000mm of lead so you can put them down in the bottom of your pack or even in your jersey pocket. Don't let the size of these little beauties fool you. They are rated at 4500mah and will run the Light on full power for a minimum of 8 hours. Try and get a 1/4 of that out of a halogen set with a battery that is double the weight of these. Min Min Light batteries weigh less than 200grams. [Our standard set consists of 2 of these packs].

The Light with Batteries

Min Min Lights are machined from solid billet aluminium. The luminous output is similar to that of a 10 watt halogen lamp. The 10 degree spread beam gives full coverage of the trail ahead, yet wide enough not to give a "tunnel vision" effect. The light is white and picks up reflectors on markers or checkpoints from up to 500 meters away. The LED is vibration resistant and is rated to last up to 50 000 hours.
